How to Whitelist YourDrive Emails

You're trying to register with Yourdrive and the prompt says 'An email has been sent to your@email.com. Click the verify link in the email to verify your address to complete your sign-up' but there is no email in your inbox? This can be very frustrating and can continue to occur for other email notifications like booking requests and confirmations which you will not want to miss!

Why are you not receiving these emails?

Your email server filters emails based on their quality score (an internal score developed by the mail server like Gmail, Hotmail or Outlook). Basically, the more emails that are sent, and the less that are marked as 'junk' by the users, the more likely they are to get delivered to your inbox. Smaller companies like Yourdrive struggle because they don't have the volumes or a unique IP address associated with their emails and so are more likely to be marked as junk.

Whitelisting an email domain like 'yourdrive.co.nz' will tell your mail server to trust emails from us and you'll get the emails you want straight to your inbox.

How to whitelist an email address in Outlook / Hotmail / MSN Mail / Windows Live Mail

  1. Sign into your account at outlook.com

Add the email address to your contacts

  1. Open an email from support@yourdrive.co.nz
  2. Hover over the sender Yourdrive and click on 'Add' on the right of the pop-up menu.
  3. Click Save at the top.

Add the email address to your safe sender list

  1. Click the cog settings icon on the top right of the Outlook window.
  2. Click Options at the bottom
  3. On the left under Mail > Junk email, click Safe senders
  4. Enter 'yourdrive.co.nz' and click + on the right to add
  5. Click Save at the top
  6. On the left under Mail > Junk email, click Safe mailing lists
  7. Enter 'support@yourdrive.co.nz' and click + on the right to add
  8. Click Save at the top

How to whitelist an email address in Gmail

  1. Sign into your account at gmail.com

Add the email address to your contacts

  1. Open an email from support@yourdrive.co.nz
  2. Hover over the sender Yourdrive and click on 'Contact info' at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
  3. Click the Add to contacts button Gmail Add to contacts

Mark messages as 'Not spam'

If Gmail has marked Yourdrive emails as spam, tell Gmail these emails are not.

  1. In Gmail, go to your spam folder. It's under the list of folders on the left. You may have to scroll down o see it.
  2. Search for 'yourdrive.co.nz'
  3. Select all emails
  4. Click the Not spam button

Create a filter for the address

Gmail also filters promotional messages from general inbox messages. If you would like Yourdrive emails to go straight to your inbox, then set up a filter.

  1. Go to your Primary inbox or Promotions using the tabs at the top
  2. Search for 'yourdrive.co.nz'
  3. Select all emails
  4. Click the More button and select Filter messages like these
  5. Enter 'yourdrive.co.nz' into the From field and remove all other fields, if any.
  6. Click Create filter with this search
  7. Click tick box Never sent it to Spam
  8. Click tick box Also apply filter to matching conversations
  9. Click Create Filter
